Well, here's another "week 5" for you! This is a bit of an unusual grid for me: it's relatively low on the word count (72 in total), and there's less 3-letter words than usual. So yes, it might be more of a challenge to fill in the grid. But at least I've provided you with a meta hint! The answer to the meta is a TV family. Answer & explanation: https://www.xword-muggles.com/viewtopic.php?p=183864#p183864
Check out "The MOAT Mini Pack of Marching Bands" here: https://www.ephesusscroll.com/about/interest4.html. US$5 gets you 7 Marching Bands which, hard enough on their own, now contain metas too. And once again there's a mega-meta!

Fun. Grandpa was my way in, but then I looked for other family members like FATHER in tether. All of a sudden I saw Herman and I was headed down Mockingbird Lane. I’d say it was a snap but that’s another series…Da Da Da Da, click click .
Susann and Day made me grasp at a straw of the Partridge family but I knew that couldn't be it. Pa-treon and Ma-nna seemed like deliberate red herrings but Gran being front and center made whatever possible play with those unlikely. But I figute gettogETHER had to be relevant but... wtf? stared at everything and so li-ly so figured I'd work on that and that was it.
Don't remember the Raven that well, but the pet dragon was named Spot, was he not?
Good one, Ben! I somehow saw LILY first and then GRANDPA. Love this type of mechanism!

Lots of fun for Halloween week!

Of course!
I used to watch this as a kid in the 80s, I didn’t realise it was originally from the 60’s!

I saw what I thought was Grandad (with the P omitted) in the last two across entries. Figuring to find more family relationship names, I looked in the first two across entries and found LILY instead. No! Not Grandad -- Grandpa! Quick progress from there with HERMAN and EDDIE, and MARILYN was easy to spot, but who was she? I'd forgotten all about their "poor, strange cousin" counterfoil!!
Continuing to work my way back through the ones I missed last semester. Needed to reveal some stuff to complete the NE part of the grid, and then was trying to over-literalize the hint for a while. Eventually looked at nudge 3 and then it was speedy. Thanks. :)

Had to use the all-caps button to submit, because auto-correct was sure I was trying to type “the monsters”. Gruesome grid (9D must be looked up, for sure, unless you knew every single crosser for sure. Several others were brand new to me. But the Munsters? Classic. Watched that show when I was a kid (not quite first run, but just a couple years after that.. in the late sixties early seventies). My folks weren’t wild about all the spooky shows of that era — Addams Family, Munsters, Dark Shadows — but didn’t absolutely forbid us watching. (Though honestly they should have said no to Dark Shadows… still kinda spooks me to this day, as does the visual image of Grandpa sleeping in a coffin. I really did not like Grandpa.)
