Meta Prompt
Can you identify the killer, the weapon, and the location?
This is my entry for Crosshare's March Midi Contest. Good luck solving the mystery, er, meta!
Hint 1: As Sherlock Holmes would say, finding the weapon and location is elementary. The killer, however, not so much...
Hint 2: According to 34A, the killer is hiding somewhere in the grid.
Hint 3: What's up with that cryptically-worded clue at 11A? I don't think the killer is a fisherman.
Hint 4: Oh, "angled" as in "diagonal"!
Hint 5: And a corner-to-corner grid-spanner at that!

              Thanks, Meg. The only "killers" who fit on that 11-word diagonal were MISTER GREEN and MISS SCARLET. MISTER GREEN had the added benefit of crossing nicely with MYSTERY GAME.

                  I saw that and thought in afterthought in could be a clue to colors in general But 2D was a clue to Emerald Island and I saw that as a hint. But I didn't submit until I got it.

                                Typical Cap'n puzzle loaded with references: INROOM next to LOUNGE, EMERALS and G both in MISTERGREEN, MURDER meeting ROPE. I did try to make sure it wasn't MISS SCARLET (Fiery), PROFESSOR PLUM (BIV), MISS PEACOCK (BIVROYG) in the GUESTHOUSE (Hotel) with the REVOLVER (Shot at) but that was jut making it too hard. Fun diversion at a time I am struggling with EVERYTHING. Thanks Cap!
