The answer to the meta is a 4-word phrase heard in the context of advice giving
I'm really hoping this one turns out to be fun; I certainly had fun putting it together! The answer to the meta is a 4-word phrase heard in the context of advice giving. Answer & explanation: https://xword-muggles.com/viewtopic.php?p=156711#p156711
Check out "The MOAT Mini Pack of Marching Bands" here: https://www.ephesusscroll.com/about/interest4.html. US$5 gets you 7 Marching Bands which, hard enough on their own, now contain metas too. And once again there's a mega-meta!

haha, this was clever. Thanks Ben!

Fun! Had to think about it for a minute, the first thing my brain came up with was "put yourself in my place" which obviously wasn't quite it!
Tried "in my humble opinion" first, but then saw the correct answer. Clever. And, learned something new -- never heard of a RUSK before. Thanks for the puzzle, Ben!
This solution had to percolate down. I knew I was looking for a phrase about I and U, but it took a little while. “Better U than I” and “I was once U” occurred to me. Also “U are where I was,” but frustratingly 5 words not 4. This was a fun one!

Very clever. Saw it right away but it took a bit to come up with the correct wording!
Would you believe the first thing I did was to try to find out what UMHO was an acronym for! So.... 5 i's but 4 words... and then it hit me! Yes -- very fun!
Thanks, Ben!
loved it! and your sneaky trap of "IMHO" fits the prompt dammit... this has been in the NYTimes before which helped me come up with the wording (once as the title to a sunday puzzle and once as a revealer)... i like yours a lot more because all the themers fit with advice-giving so it's as tight as ever
Thanks, Philip. This is indeed essentially just a themed crossword disguised as a meta by making what should have been the puzzle title the meta answer and coming up with a slightly more obscure title! :-)
Took me a couple of days to come up with the right phrase, even though I knew instantly it was likely to be something with I and you. (I did try IMHO spelled out first, just in case). Fun idea, thanks.
