Wow! I've seen constructors do this before and it's always been astonishing.
I had to do a bit of back solving (the FFs were the last to yield)

Being spatially challenged, I needed some help. This is really an excellent puzzle. Thanks Jay.

Very nice! Fill was doable, clues were good, and there were at least two or three clues that said, "Hey you, you're going to need to make a word by taking a right turn somewhere in the grid." I like that the themers were all 7LW because that let me know I could ignore things like CAPS and DIES and EVAL and RANGE.
OMG, my "Aha" moment was a "D'oh" moment. Very slick, what you did there!

Tricky that the letters F - U - N were involved; I wanted at first to use them as the word they are. Since I ended up not needing to, I'll use them here instead:
FUN puzzle; thanks, Jay!

WOW - construction quite impressive!! And the two clue words in there too (RIGHT and RUNSINTO). Has an oddly high population of French words… I almost went looking for French street names. But saw COURIER and BARRAGE almost immediately and remembered there was a delivery service clue, and that’s all it took. Fun one!!
I took advantage of the Crosshare correct/incorrect feature to toss in a possible answer before getting ANY part of Step 2. Once I got the congratulations I buckled down and found all the confirming letters without too much delay. Shoulda seen many things before I actually did.

Great puzzle Jay!

Loved it. I got the first part quickly with thte clues. It took me two days to come up with the eight alternatives. Ironically, OGRES for CAPTORS was my first one. It was not until I was back solving that I figured out that it was wrong? I liked that I had to work at it a bit.

Nice construction! I didn't see it for a little because I was expecting the down answers to turn right from their perspective and go left. haha
