Hmmm, here's another puzzle for which I neglected to write an intro at the time of construction. Ah well, what can I say about this puzzle by way of introduction? Not much - except to say that solvers of MMMM will have a bit of an advantage. The answer to the meta is a band name and album. Answer & explanation: https://www.xword-muggles.com/viewtopic.php?p=199823#p199823
Check out "The MOAT Mini Pack of Marching Bands" here: https://www.ephesusscroll.com/about/interest4.html. US$5 gets you 7 Marching Bands which, hard enough on their own, now contain metas too. And once again there's a mega-meta!

It would have helped if autocorrect didn't keep changing it to Rosette. Thanks, Ben.

Damn autocorrect got me too!

YES with the autocorrect! Does anyone remember damnyouautocorrect.com? Much time was spent on that one. Also my Googling revealed a band named Joyride with a self-titled album. What a coinkydink
Tried ordering them by hardness on the Moh's scale. The title was HARD music meta after all.

Had to use a word unscrambler to get the title, looked it up, and saw that the band’s name was perfect for the puzzle… except that they didn’t have an eponymous album (which is how I took the prompt to mean). So tried both words several ways and finally got it. (Have to say - I never heard of them or the album… though likely I’d recognize a few songs if I heard them.) Learned a lot of new rocks here… sounds like rock names can be as creative and personal as botany names!

Got it! The hint to give the rocks “a tumble” helped!
I NEVER would have gotten to the anagram thing, perhaps that is another of those cryptic clues that cryptic solvers know means "anagram", but I do not do (or like really) cryptics so it was not known to me. I mean I tried to get RODIE out of there so you would think I would have tried that (certainly will in the future). Anyway, once I had JOYRIDE I wondered if Ben had tossed us a treat with ABBA but when I put in SWEDISH, ABBA, JOYRIDE I got ROXETTE (who I had never heard of) but the name was just WAY too much of a coincidence not to be it. I did try about every variation of Rolling Stones (Tumbler with rocks) and there are a few that sound like they could fit the prompt, but alas they did not.
Thanks for a challenging puzzle that was harder than it looked!
Huh. Was pretty sure I had done the anagram first letter thing on Tuesday, but I guess either I had a typo or didn't recognize that JOYRIDE would work (which seems less likely). Would definitely have needed google for the band. Thanks :)
