My name is Ben Chenoweth, and I'm currently a teacher at Donvale Christian College, in Melbourne, Australia. I've worked overseas with Wycliffe Bible Translators, and in Australia as a secondary and tertiary teacher. (I was the Educational Designer / eLearning Coordinator at Melbourne School of Theology for four years, and taught at Eastern College for some of that time.)
My main interests are music, writing, theology and various combinations of those. I have a number of other interests, including reading, crosswords (especially cryptics and metas), and computer games. I also enjoy programming. My About Me website (https://www.ephesusscroll.com/about) was put together as an HTML/CSS demonstration for my Year 10 Computing class. Another interesting programming project is my EPUB Metadata Editor (an open-source project on GitHub).

Noises in space movies/shows really annoy me. Pew pew! Kaboom! Bah humbug! Even a hard sci-fi show like "The Expanse" (which is absolutely excellent in every other respect and you should definitely watch it if you haven't already) falls afoul of this…
This was one of those night-time meta ideas that pop into your head while you are supposed to be sleeping. While it's not like my usual metas, I think you will still enjoy it. The answer to the meta is a three-word phrase. Answer and explanation: htt…
This puzzle marks a milestone in my career as a puzzle creator. But, not wanting to spoil anything - any more than the puzzle title already does! - you're just going to have to jump in and start solving. The answer to the meta is my personal…
Holes in one are the dream of every golfer. Or so I'm told since I've only ever played 9 holes of golf in my entire life. And I very much did not make a hole in one. Far from it! I remember teeing off on hole 10 (we were playing the back nine, you…
Fleetwood Mac's classic song "The Chain" was, according to the band members, cobbled together from different musical ideas that came together in the studio. It's a cool song, but it actually doesn't have anything specific to do with the meta. I was…
It's mid-winter down under, and that means it's time for Christmas in July! You have no idea how strange it is to sing winter-related songs in December when it is 40 degrees in the shade (and that's 40 degrees Celsius, which is 104 degrees Fahrenheit…
Meta crosswords can be very difficult. Often, in your attempts to find the correct meta mechanic, you end up going down many different rabbit holes. Well, this puzzle has been constructed to make the most of that very thing! The answer to the meta is…
