I expected that, once people had the key information, that Google would play a part. Unless you happen to be a huge Ed Sheeran fan!

That was fun! Thanks, Ben!

Talk about trial-and-error ... and none of it at the hands of our able constructor! Congrats, Ben, on yet another beautiful entry and on your anniversary. Long may you run!
I kept adding up 4 of the perfect squares, instead of adding 4 TO the perfect squares, hence about 17 guesses on my part...
woozy 10:12 · 2022-07-16T05:11:03.001Z
Me too. I was even going to joke that all numbers are the sum of four perfect squares but.... Once I got add 4 to the perfect squares I got TRACKS IM so I entered "25 Tracks".... until I realized 64 + 4 != 67.

Great puzzle!

Finally "put two and two together" once your confirmed that my first attempt, which I expected was a too simple solution, was not correct.
Very artistic touch that the two theme lines (vertical and horizontal) formed a plus sign, which told me which album to look at, so I didn't have to guess.
And a most ingenious method to generate the key phrase TRACK SIX, but you did spell out the method for in the grid. And a challenge I suspect to place the right letters in the target cell number while including your theme lines.
The top of this page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%2B_(album)) makes it look like GIVE ME LOVE is the 6th track - when that came back wrong, it took me a little while to figure out that the non-single tracks are listed all the way at the bottom. Enjoyed the puzzle! Thanks Ben!
Very clever construction...loved the + sign formed by the across/down theme entries...kudos!

Congrats & Thanks!

I needed the nudges - I tried the PERFECTSQUARES before they came out, but didn't think of that critical step in nudge 4. Also kind of cool that SIX is a PERFECT number. Thanks for the puzzle!
woozy 10:12 · 2022-07-16T05:07:30.625Z
Okay.... I figured all of those nudges on Tues. but couldn't get anywhere with them.
Oh... wait... the was a single word in nudge 4 that I hadn't considered.... Oh! Would you look at that! It's spells... Something that isn't anything to do with his songs...... Oh wait.... 64+4 = 67, doesn't it?
Last I checked, 64+4 = 68. Oh, and you might still need Google for the very last step!
Ergcat 8:37 · 2022-07-16T14:29:14.568Z
Thanks for a fun puzzle! Saw the hints “add four” and “perfect squares” right away and knew what to do… just needed the album name. A nudge helped even though it was literally staring me in the face !
