Not to be that guy… but. Your clue for 54D54DIn a row[----] is actually the answer for 45D45DIdeal state for one's ducks?[------]

Oopsie, fair point. Would've been a good opportunity to do a cross-referencing clue!

How do you type "/" into the rebus?

So, as it happens, I don't think you can - I uploaded this from different software. I did try to put in alternate solutions that would have allowed OFFON, ONOFF, ON and OFF, but that doesn't seem to have worked. Sorry about that.

Awesome crossword! The "AHA" moment when I worked out what was going on was very cool. However, I couldn't work out how to enter "OFF/ON" in those squares. I had "ON" in all of them and Crosshare told me I was wrong! I had to reveal all of those squares to complete the puzzle which detracted slightly from the experience.

Shoot, sorry that didn't work out. I created four "alternate solutions" using that feature on crosshare with the intent that it would accept ONOFF, OFFON, ON, or OFF, so that should have worked, but maybe there was a glitch. I might follow up with Mike on that.

I put just ON in all the squares and it gave me the solve without any problem.

Thanks for confirming - I was able to fix it yesterday.

Fantastic puzzle with a clever theme! There was some tricky long fill like ETHELRED14A"Unready" English king[--------] and ELECTO but otherwise everything was gettable. Thanks for adding multiple rebus solutions as well!

The puzzle was fun but the rebus squares impossible to solve on my phone.
