- Not a huge fan of unchecked squares (and indeed got stuck in one spot), but will make an exception here. :) Initially was trying to link the DDs to an O, but then decided that it was just the Ds (which fits the title). Eventually got around to looking at the first letters of those words, and then after a brief pause thought to check the first letters of the clues. Fun one, thanks!
- Thanks for hanging in there, Alan. Like I said, this puzzle was rejected on both MMM and SSS for those same reasons.

- Fun! I got DOUBLE-CROSSED by the fact that there were six other double letters in the grid. That kept me busy with anagram solvers for awhile.
