Nicely done, Mark. Those of us with erratic solving skills - let along the ability to actually build one! - appreciate the cleverness of those who construct metas, whether new to the game or accomplished veterans. Looking forward to much more from you!
Wow, that's a lot of (prime) territory in a small grid taken up by theme entries! I only noticed the entries' connection to 'prime' after submitting (I had seen that the entries clued by two meanings had prime numbers). So I really solved with only half of the mechanism. Anyone solve with only the other half?
I'm curious to know what path(s) solvers find, too. I used the smaller grid, partly to make the intersecting prime clue numbers easier to handle and also because 13 is a prime. I would have liked to have only 13 themers for the same reason but it was not to be
Mark has clawed his way into our hearts with this MEOW. His mechanism is doubly sweet because there are two ways you can arrive - I mean along with all of the other constraints he put this into a GRID with a size that is a Prime number - genius. I was delighted when I got a chance to be one of his testers.
Both PRIME and PRIME TIME are accepted answers. Each of the prime number clues has a grid answer that goes with the word PRIME, and I included PRIME TIME as an answer for solvers who answered the "What time is it?" Question with "Prime Time"
DOH!!! the nudges didn't tell me anything I hadn't already noticed/guessed. But I just couldn't come up with that magic word until today. Very clever - and an impressive FEAT (not abbr)
