Nice one! I saw something... and then something else. And there it was! Then I left out "The" in the movie title. haha

Reverse engineered this one after checking classic movies. I think I never would have gotten this. I like the idea though!

Very clever! Took a couple wrong turns before finding the right direction. The nudge helped. Thanks

Now, to figure out the metanism...

Oh, there it is. I might have gotten it from DECOURGE had I not mashed "reveal word"...

I have part of the metanism. Will keep working. Thank you for a clever one.

Needed the nudge and finally saw the right path (a yellow-brick road). Nicely done!

It was a total delight for me to stare at the grid off and on during the day, read your nudge, keep staring, keep thinking …and then get it, practically in a flash. Terrific puzzle, Jay!

Ahhhhh... (or if I said that twice, I'd have Oz!) Finally, finally got this. Was keying off those letters early on Monday, but just could not figure out what to do with them. Like the earlier poster, it was fun to come back to - repeatedly! - to finally get the AHA! Nice payoff, and appreciate the nudges that gave just enough without giving it all away.

Late start on this one. It was a very nice "aha" moment. Well done! Thanks, Jay.

                                    I don’t get 4D - something about a bend in a ship’s plank??

Yeah, that's the definition and supposedly it's a real word, but just barely, which is why I added the parenthetic apology.

Ah. Much better after I stopped trying to put a letter in between Joni's both sides! Thanks for a classic, Jay!

A few friends of mine had Treos back in the day. Pretty cool for the time when most of us had flip or brick phones if we had phones at all.

Wow, it wouldn't accept Wizard of Oz without THE...I guess it didn't think it was the real article, or certainly the definite one! I was going about this all wrong; I saw the individual letters and that should have tipped me off, but a line with two pieces and missing letters had me looking longingly at econoCARY GRANTde and I could not shake that pre-conception. Needed at least the three nudges. Nice little twist Toto! (I mean you could have had somehting about feeling the rain down in Africa....
