That was great! PS - you have a stray "a" in the clue for SETA
      40D SETALee's "Go ___ Watchman"

        fixed- thanks!

It's still showing up as "Go ___ a Watchman" for me.

Oh, good lord! Silly and fun.
Once you apply Sherlock Holmes adage about ruling out everything.... Thanks.

Fun puzzle, and especially excellent cluing! Took too long because I stupidly circled “pace” instead of “muse” (well, it went with “stew,” right??). So I had AUGEPTODIN. 🤪

I KNEW it would be him -- I just needed to ruminate on it for a while!

So clever. I was an art history major in college & grad school but it still took me a while. Saw August but thought it was either the month or the adjective (with ER). Art historians don't usually think in terms of first & last names so it took me a minute. . . .
                                      • Laura M 🤓10:46 · 12 days ago
Awesome collab, loved the clues, metanism and answer! I definitely overthought it and needed the hints.

Clever. IMO “person” could have been “artist” without giving anything away. More “personal”, maybe? Just a thought. Fun puzzle.

We wrestled with that. Ultimate decision was having "think" with "artist" could lead one in an obvious direction.

Good point. It MIGHT have led some (not me) to the “Thinker” and Rodin but doubt it would have pointed to the “under” think metanism and Rodin’s full name. Was RODIN by itself accepted in Crosshare?
                                              • Abide publisher · 10 days ago
No, a good guesser might try that just off the title. Some did just guess Descartes.

I learned Rodin's first name, so there's that. Nicely done puzzle; thanks for the fun!

Once I solve the grid, how do i toggle back to list of clues? Using the website
                                                    • Abide publisher · 10 days ago
There should be an X in a white Circle at the top right part of the page. If that doesn’t work you can close and reopen. Your work should be saved.
                                                    • hoover 3s · 10 days ago
I was looking for that to be the metanism, but I missed the "think" part until the 2nd nudge.
                                                      • Joe Pickett 🤓25:09 · 9 days ago
I meant the full list of clues not one at a time. I figured that the same option that let's me toggle from the grid to the full list of clues like I have when solving would still be there after I solve the grid, but the option goes away!
