Clever one, thanks so much for this great series.

      Answer: THAT'S ALL, FOLKS!
Explanation: Eight symmetrically placed entries have clues that start with a Looney Tunes character: PARK, OCEAN, ROCKY, KALB, YARN, PESTS, INANE, GLUE; their initial letters spell out PORKY PIG, whose famous three-word signoff "That's all, folks!" is the answer to our meta and a fitting way to end the third Summer of Solves! Note also the column LOON KNEE TUNE going down the center, all having three word clues with initial letters T-A-F, confirming the meta phrase answer. Keep on solving, and see you in a couple of weeks!
      • whimsy 14:20 · 2024-08-31T20:00:19.843Z
Wow! I missed all the intricacy of this -- then just made the leap from the initial word of the relevant clues. But there's a bonus in there -- Spike TV (I told you I poured over the list!🤓) Maybe his full name is Porky T Pig, and he's a tad dyslexic, and he's not quite centered in his chakra or something.😜

What a fun puzzle! And sadly, so appropriate for the last of the summer of solves. You've had an incredible run this summer - thanks so much for all your creativity!

Fitting ending for summer. Thanks, Mikey.
              • damefox 🤓6:25 · 2024-08-31T20:10:45.845Z
Nice! Another educated guess for this one, once I read on the Forum that this was your last puzzle for the summer. The mechanism makes sense after the fact, but I think without the extra information that this was your summer sign-off (which puts the number of options for a plausible famous 3-word phrase at exactly one), this is closer to a 3.5. Any time solvers have to a) hunt for where to start and b) start with the clues, it's going to be tricky. Thanks for a summer of fun puzzles!!

I'm trying to think if there's one puzzle I've rated below Level 3 that you thought shouldn't be bumped up, haha. 🤣
Maybe 2.5. There's LOON KNEE TUNE going down the center, though!!

This dropped on me like an ACME weight -- after looking in the longs, considering Nora, the Odyssey, wondering how I'd spell out something 3-words long etc. I noticed Daffy and then Bugs -- "... and Elmer!!" Splat!! There's your answer! Thanks, Porky! Fun to go back and look for all the symmetrical others. I checked a Looney Tune character list just to be sure I didn't miss any of the fun ... Wow! must have been 108 of them on there! 😁
Thanks for your consistently delightful Saturday offerings, Mikey!

I did see LOON KNEE TUNE first, which got me going. Fun puzzle. You went out with a bang, Mikey.

I mean, last of the “Summer of Solves” and the cast of Looney Tunes….what else could it possibly be you little Tasmanian devil you. Oh wait that might be Ben?
                          Thanks for a fun season.

When I saw the title, I confidently entered "Break a leg" (cast, break, natch). Then actually had to do the work of solving it. Saw BUGS and DAFFY and that pretty quickly clued me in. Thanks for the puzzle, Mikey!

Total wag from noticing Loon Knee Tune down the middle. Missed the T-A-F and Porky Pig parts of the metanism but likely would have backsolved given the title! Fun and punny as always, thank you Mikey!

Nothing wrong with a WAG! Not sure if you solve the WSJ but had I needed to WAG "Chump Change," it would've been correct!

At first, I was drawing a Blanc. Then I noticed LOON KNEE TUNE. Thought the answer might be "What's Up Doc?" but then found Porky and rmembered that this was the summer finale, alas. Never saw the T-A-F clues.

The T-A-F clues was a last-minute addition; I guess they were hidden more than I thought. The first two stick out like a sore thumb to me, but I guess that's because I know they're there!

I'll be doing a MOAT or a MEOW occasionally and love the casual cluing and sometimes I'm like, "Wait, what's the prompt again?"
