Explanation: I run a twice-yearly online songwriting tournament called SpinTunes, and SpinTunes 20 is currently underway. Each tournament consists of four week-long rounds, during which participants must write and record a new song in response to that round's specific challenge.
Each of this puzzle's theme entries is the name of a band or artist who has been participating in SpinTunes 20.
All the music from the contest can be found at https://spintunes.bandcamp.com/ and more information about the contest is at https://www.spintunes.net/.

Nice puzzle, Sommersmith! I wasn't familiar with the tournament and the bands/artists, but I still found it very enjoyable. Thanks.

55D55DOscar winner Kevin whose last name is an anagram of his first, if you write it in all caps and rotate one letter 45 degrees[-----] is an all-timer of a clue. Great job! Definitely going to check out the music!
