The answer to the meta is a television show that many people are into
This meta was motivated by an entry in a recent Pun of a Kind meta. This would be a week 1 if there weren't so many other long entries that look like they should be themers but aren't and if I hadn't gotten so punchy in my cluing. But there should still be a few "screaming themers" to keep this from being too hard. You'll probably see it right away or you won't.

Nice, and I see where you got the idea! I used to be "into" this show but I'm not sure how well-remembered it is these days...
KayW 🤓15:55 · almost 2 years ago
Nice! I finally got it from WORF. I've seen some episodes of the original but none of the follow-ups. My first incorrect entry was STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE but that was rejected. Then I thought I'd start all the other franchises and lucked out on the second. Now to go back and find all the stuff I missed in the grid...
Just "star trek" would have worked. But I was going for a TNG theme with six of the seven main characters. I had forgotten that Worf had been on Deep Space 9 for the last two or three episodes.

The TNG series is actually the one I know best -- used to watch the reruns every night after supper as a family because my son, about 10 years old at the time, was into it with some other little nerd friends -- and kid sister had to follow of course. Can still see Data unsuccessfully trying to extract himself from the Chinese finger trap.
