        The ships clue slowed me a bit until I guessed pupu. I'd never thought about the etymology of utensil before; one learns something everyday! Thanks for the puzzle.

                I guess it's mostly a thing in Chinese restaurants in the US. The word "PUPU" itself comes from Hawaiian: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pu_pu_platter
