Cryptic - what's for dinner?

· By Spunky · Published 2021-05-08T09:12:44.446Z

Cryptics are fun, but with trickier clues and fewer checked squares, they are by nature much harder than American-style grids. I've set this one with a theme and somewhat more direct clues to make it a more leisurely solve.

I absolutely loved this! I have been trying to slowly get into cryptics but usually struggle just to get a couple of entries solved. This difficulty level was perfect for me - thanks for sharing!

nice - great to see a cryptic here, and the wordplay is all very logical and understandable! just one note: the clue for RATIO says (4) letters instead of (5)

Very clever cluing, creative uses of short and sweet answers.
