This is not something I ever had an opportunity to compare until I got married, but in my experience, picking a size in women's clothes = 80% vibes + 20% "is this a shirt or a dress or possibly a skirt honest to god how am I supposed to know," and picking a size in men's clothes = 20% vibes + 80% "at least I know wtf I'm looking at." Men's sections of stores are so much less stressful than women's sections and also seem to be organized based on reality and not just the aftermath of a fashion tornado.
