      I dug the theme a lot! My initial thought was that there might be a more elegant way to incorporate the first LEFT/RIGHT than 28A, but looking back at the puzzle I think it would be tough to fit without compromising fill, so I like the way you did it, especially with the incorporation of the directions. I kept hoping to find KONAMI in there someplace, but that would be pretty tough.
      I think my biggest comment is that maybe there's a typo at 10D? ___ Corpse with an answer of CORPSE is a pretty bad duplicate if that's not a typo.
      Overall there were a lot of really nice entries here!

        Thank you! And omg, thanks for pointing out the typo. I just fixed it. It was meant to be [Exquisite _____]. I need more coffee.
        And thank you for the feedback! I struggled with the themes in exactly that way. Turns out that "left" simply cannot be hidden in any other word than "cleft" (at least in what I've found) and "right" can really only be hidden within rhymes. So I figured rather than forcing it and ending up with entries that were both unbalanced and redundant, I'd just lean in and make it completely straightforward.
