Meta Prompt
[Level 3] The answer to the meta is a phrase that I wish applied to solving crosswords.
I hope we all had a happy and healthy Thanksgiving - or at least a happy one! (Like my turkey, I'm stuffed!)

Nice one, Mikey! Took awhile to get it to congeal (the meta, not the gravy)... rabbit holes galore: thrown by 37D

Some are early ... BIRDS?? or 12D

            15A"Wow, that describes me exactly"[-------]
"Wow, that describes me exactly" ... turkey??? I daren't 🤣. But once it gelled (like cranberries) it was an elegant solve. Enjoyed it!!

I am totally embarrassed that I needed all kinds of nudging! I mean this is soooo in my wheelhouse. I had trouble identifying the TURKEYS and was CONVINCED that "Wow that describes me exactly" was one of them. Whether by TRAIN or BOAT it was an interesting trip. Another fun solve from a constructor we should all be thankful for. Thanks Mikey
              • Carolyn 3s · 4 months ago
Definitely needed the nudges on this one! Thanks

I definitely had TURKEY in the grid for 38A

I really, really thought that I needed to look for rhymes due to the title, and it took the first 5 nudges to put me on the right track. Great puzzle, I guess I just wasn't in the right mindset!
