Meta Prompt
The answer to the meta is appropriately meta
It's time to get meta! I'm not going to say any more, except the answer to the meta is appropriately meta. Answer and explanation: https://www.xword-muggles.com/viewtopic.php?p=90878#p90878
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here: https://www.ephesusscroll.com/about/interest4.html. US$10 gives you access to 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game. You won't quite know what to expect: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, sometimes all of those, and sometimes none! One thing is for sure, these are some of the more creative metas my brain has been able to come up with. And there's more: this time there's a mega-meta!

      Misspellings are quite a diversion.

Well this was an interesting META! It looked so 54A and as a 1A I struggle with those, it also requires some interpolation and 3D knows I have problems there. But I wasn’t going to let it bring me to my 65A or throw in the 28D. If you want to 15A from the depths of 35D you have to believe the 31D “Character consists of what you do on the third and fourth try”! Once I determined the 1D of the “referred” clues I could solve it with 52D. Thanks Ben

I'm not sure I grasp the whole thing, and I'm missing a couple of letters. I thought I'd need a few tries at it before hitting on the answer, but I got it in one.

Never mind! Clever: yes, it is, but that's a misspelling too, I see. Thanks.
