If the title of this puzzle got you humming, you can probably fill in the circled letters. If not, you'll just have to get them the old-fashioned way. Actually, if you were humming then you're likely as old-fashioned as I am!

    Clever theme! I definitely know the song — and even could sing the chorus along — but quickly realized I didn’t know most of the lyrics, and I had never heard of the band. However, the grid pattern led me to fill in the circles.
    The title also served as the seed of an earworm, and I thought I might like to listen to the song to manage this. But it looks like the band’s name is actually spelled STARECASE! Today I learned.
    On a separate note, I loved the clue for 30A. Would just recommend adding a couple spaces for readability.

      Thanks, Sendhil. In the write-up on my blog (JeffsPuzzles.com) I explain that when I went back to check I saw the band's name was spelled differently but I decided to leave the puzzle as is. In my jazz-playing days we had a saying: "close enough for jazz". I've guess that's now morphed into "close enough for crosswords!"
