Super fun, Darth, and a great aha moment. My first instinct was right but not quite looking deep enough. "If at first you don't succeed, keep trying" doesn't always work, but this time it did!

Nice puzzle that required putting 2 clues together. Like the others, I didn't go deep enough at first.

I grew up in Pittsburgh and have always been a Pirate fan, so of course I liked this one. A quick solve but fun. Now lets all get up and shake our (pirate) booty.

I must be more familiar with cooking than high finance since I first thought of the "liquid" assets. Very nice, Darth! Reminded me of a board game I'd play as a kid with my brother where you had to head down to the bottom of the board/ocean and then come back up to meet the ship. But the ship kept moving across the top with every roll of the dice, and I could never time it right!

Fun puzzle...thanks Darth!

This was quite a challenge! I did what it looks like many did, right off the bat (no not the echo kind of bat) — central entry told me to look under the C’s (“it can’t be that easy…” — and of course it wasn’t). Then saw all the other little clues that could be interpreted various ways: Does the vertical “DEPTHS” indicate the area of the puzzle to look in? (The bottom 6 rows?); should I be looking at all the letters in SONAR to direct me to the treasure? Or using the letters in ECHO, maybe? I then looked for “sea” in other languages, looked for things that live under the sea that are spelled with an extra thing “among” them (such as CHORAL having an extra H among the CORAL). Finally put this aside for a while, until I looked at the published nudges this morning and thought… “yeah, I saw all that; doesn’t help… except I hadn’t noticed that there were exactly 7 C’s so that first instinct was a good one. Looked again and realized I needed to get to the BOTTOM of those C words… to their floor. Doh! This could easily be a WSJ or Gaffney! Very smooth and a great challenge. I was beginning to doubt my meta mojo!!

Ooh, nice one! I was on the right track yesterday with looking under the Cs... I just didn't go far enough down. OF COURSE treasure would sink all the way to the bottom... ugh. LOL.

The nudges only confirmed everything I'd already thought about. Just had to spend a couple more minutes and voila!

Fun puzzle! Spent a lot of time initially trying to get a solution from all the “pirate talk” in the grid (AR, ARAR,…). When that didn’t work, I had to C what else I could do!
