The answer to the meta is a two-word answer to the question "How do you make letters stand out in a crowd?"
Oh no, it's time for another "week 4" puzzle! Having said that I'm hoping you will exclaim "what a relief!" after you get to the answer without too much trouble. (At the very least I hope you have less trouble than my daughters trying to get tickets to 29 across29 across8 down for more than three hours today. But they were one of the lucky ones and by the time this puzzle comes out they will have gone to that concert months ago!) The answer to the meta is a two-word answer to the question "How do you make letters stand out in a crowd?" Answer & explanation: https://www.xword-muggles.com/viewtopic.php?p=177504#p177504
Check out "The MOAT Mini Pack of Marching Bands" here: https://www.ephesusscroll.com/about/interest4.html. US$5 gets you 7 Marching Bands which, hard enough on their own, now contain metas too. And once again there's a mega-meta!

Given the image you chose, I knew right away that the other meaning of “relief” would be relevant (though my first thought was that maybe some letters would be “raised” above the answers they belong to, like you see in some themed puzzles)
I once thought about using the clue “Like a boss” for something like RAISED, but then decided it would be too mean.
spent a while looking for WHOs at the first look, then in a second look focused on BOSS and there it was. Only took a second to translate THEM surrounded by BOSS into the answer. Very clever and fun, thanks.

I saw the Down entries B-S symmetrically surrounding THEM, and I thought the B-S was for Bruce Springsteen. Then I realized there was also an O-S for each one.
Nice! I was thinking "boss them around" by was stymied by the "two words" stipulation... finally occurred to me. Also, 57A is one of my favorite books and favorite series!
Clever boy! I had a minor glitch because I had the NE corner wrong, but I figured almost from the start that I was looking for BAS, then when I saw the middle clue I was pretty sure what I needed. Fun puzzle Ben.

Had to be hand fed the answer. Saw the THEM, but never would've guessed embossed. Oh well, hopefully next week Ben will be kinder.
Whew! is right! Had the bas relief concept and the word THEM since forever. Took another (well, 27th) look at it a few minutes ago and finally saw the S and O.
In my head I anagrammed to the word SOBS first -- appropriate enough for me -- "SOBS with relief..." !! Thanks for this gem, Ben!
