Darling it's better,
Down where it's wetter,
Take it from me.
Up on the shore they work all day,
Out in the sun they slave away.
While we devotin',
Full time to floatin',
Under the sea.
Hi Jacob. Thanks for working on my puzzle. NAUSEA comes from the first letters of the 3-letter words/abbreviations under the six Cs in the grid (i.e. the "C legs" or "sea legs").
Luckily I always had mine - Sea Legs that is. Still it was fun to watch the newbies on their first cruise...and of course to say things like "man I could use a nice greasy cheeseburger right now", "anyone have any sardines" or "ever notice how much spaghetti looks like worms?" I have to admit I got it from Ipecac and what I thought was a wandering, non-sea leg individual in the upper R Hand corner where NAUSEA is easily, if not straight-line, spelled.
