Well-done and most enjoyable, Peter, right down to the "weak-kneed" Easter egg. In this time of thanksgiving, I'm super grateful to be among such talented Muggles. It's "awwwwwwwwww"-inspiring.

Welp, this was a total guess. Still not sure what the mechanism is, but a solve's a solve. Thanks for the puzzle Peter! Now to try and figure it out.

This was my reasoning… cyber Monday, Fat Tuesday, Ash Wednesday, Holy Thursday, Bloody Sunday, leaving Black Friday.
              • woozy 🤓13:56 · 2023-11-27T21:13:14.218Z
Instead of "Cyber Crime" (cyber Monday is a relatively new penomenon) I'd have used Muggle Meta Bacon.
But that may be just a regional thing.
                • Sharkicicles 2s · 2023-11-27T21:42:56.817Z
                  Bacon?

Oh blue Monday. I know the New Order song but had no idea it was actually called that until I googled it. Less generational issue, more me being dumb.

Most of us geezers would think Fats Domino, actually

I originally had BLUERIBBON but my young "testers" had never heard of the song.
                    • Sharkicicles 2s · 2023-11-28T01:57:43.696Z
45, have no idea what that refers to… apparently Cyber Monday dates back to 2005, which I was surprised to find.

Very nice! Guessed the answer before figuring out the mechanism (but I did figure it out!). Not sure what the 7th theme entry could be...
                    • Abide constructor · 2023-11-27T20:31:43.266Z
There is a seventh theme entry (well known TV host) but I felt that would require too much research/googling.
                      • Sharkicicles 2s · 2023-11-28T02:02:24.104Z
Also could have done Billy Sunday from the Sinatra song. Is there a Johnny for the well known host?

No we need to find the semi-obscure Saturday. Then 10 letters

"What the.... I see nothing but two word phrases.... oh wait, the two words are in the grid.... so adjective noun ... hmm... well there is BLACK and there is WIDOW so let's try BLACK WIDOW.... Okay, but why?"
"Well-done and most enjoyable, Peter, right down to the "weak-kneed" Easter egg. In this time of thanksgiving"> Something to do with sports?
"Good! Freaky, but casusal (thank God)."> Something to do with friday?
Oh! I get it! Cyber Monday, Fat Tuesday, Ash Wednesday and ... okay, I guess to do order it must by BLOODY (not HOLY) Sunday, and I've never heard of HOLY THURSDAY but... a back solve is a back solve and a WAG is a WAG. I declare my actions a solve.

Also guessed that right away, before seeing the mechanism. However, first I was looking for element symbols from the sixth period of the table of elements! Tried to make it more difficult than it was. Very nice.
                            • DrTom 4s · 2023-11-28T17:52:17.854Z
Yes, I too spend a lot of time on the periodic table and wondering if sports (the 6th period in the school I went to) had anything to do with it.

That was a fun romp through the week. Even if it means I now have a U2 earworm in my brain. I bet you didn't expect Mike Shenk to kind of spoiler your MMM last Friday. Thanks Peter!

Spent some time making sure there wasn't a specific mechanism for the second word, but once I actually looked at the other 5-letter entries it's obviously the only one that fits. Also spent some time on 'no way that 1D clue is innocent' 😂 Fun stuff, thanks.

Nice way to start (and almost finish) the week. As a constrictor, I always hate when the answer can be guessed without the mechanism. Here, all you had to do was look for a 10-letter 2-word phrase. If you did, you missed the beauty of the puzzle and the satisfaction of the "aha" moment.
                                          • DrTom 4s · 2023-11-28T17:50:42.409Z
Guessed and had to backsolve. Very interesting; should have seen it from CYBER, FAT and ASH but didn't. I saw what I think is another Easter egg (not an Easter Sunday egg mind you). Was 16A "Week 5" a subtle nudge because there were 5 days of the week? I'll take it as a solve even if it was a lucky guess and a bit of detective work. Thanks for the puzzle Peter.
