The first letters of the down words spell the meta answer: JUSTICE, or JUST ICE :) ||

Was it intentional that all the pairs and the one triplet had words of equal length? That spoke of balance to me, which reminded me of my first thought, looking at that Wookiee judge, which was the answer.

I tried to make the grid symmetrical, which is a balance of a sort, but not in the cool way that you thought of ...and that's Bigfoot btw👣😂
