Don't know if there is anything more to it than B-B-B-Bennie...

What a b-b-b-b-blast! Now to get rid of all these earworms :D thanks!

I guess spelling does count. Could've sworn it was Benny. Oh well --thanks for the puzzle, Chris!

Are you from outside North America? If so, it was!

I'm waiting for the explanation. All I did was google "stuttering songs" and picked the one that started with B that wasn't already in the clues.

No explanation needed. Some will get it without googling. Was intended to be straightforward.

There is actually a song called BBBBBB. Thought it had to be that, for awhile.

Hmm..... Never heard of this song.
                  (Seriously. I haven't. )

Got it with a guess. I was quite sure that all of the clues starting with B, including four in a row, would lead me to the answer. I guess they did help with my guess.

All of the "theme" grid answers start with a B

Spelling does indeed count! In my mind it was always Benny - WRONG!
                      N N N Nice job

Oh, the places I've b-b-b-been -- over complicating as usual. Needed to hear "straightforward," and comments on tonight's zoom to bring me into line! Thanks, Chris!

Like all Philly-area kids who grew up in the 1970s, I STILL sing that song as "B-b-b-Bernie in the nets" in honor of Flyers goalie Bernie Parent.

Wouldn’t have gotten this without the nudge about following the Yellow Brick Road (It follows that song on the album). Was there a route to get to this song other than googling songs that have BBBB stutters in them? (Are there no others?). Also, now I will be mis-singing Elton John songs for days. I’d look up the actual lyrics but mis-singing them is so much more fun.
