Neat puzzle, thank you!

Brilliant!

Nicely done!
And thank you for accepting “Festival of Lights” and not making me figure out how to spell Chanukah :)
Hand raised. I'm assuming all the things that are lit / on FIRE are supposed to suggest it? Don't see any Ks in the grid, which means it can't be spelled out (though maybe I missed one).
I take it by boharr's comment that Chanukah is one of the solutions (and presumably so is Hanukkah)? BarbaraK and myself both entered "Festival of Lights" and got the correct answer. Knowing that you can probably figure out why the answer is Chanukah.

The meta makes me think of this, which puts a smile on my face every time I hear it.
I’m with those not touching the spelling of the name… submitted Fesitval of Lights (the word FESTIVAL is spelled with the first letters of all the light-related entries, for those who are still head-scratching!). Happy that festival, and all the festivals; we all need us some enlightenment!! ( :

I got festival quickly and then realized the connection to bright rite and all the lights.

Thanks a latke for this one, and I'm sure that appreciation for it is not a menorah-tea sentiment. (I somehow doubt that DrTom will be chiming in with puns on sufganiyot.) But how many different spellings of Hanukkah did you enter as alternate answers?
Just two: HANUKKAH and CHANUKAH. What should I add?
Bird Lives 5s · 2023-12-12T22:33:09.854Z
As Debbie C says, transliteration is an open field with nothing universally agreed on. I was prepared to keep trying till I got one that Crosshare allowed. I figure there are eight permutations -- three binary options: C or CH, one N or two, one K or two.
DebbieC 13:32 · 2023-12-12T23:33:07.524Z
Let's not forget the versions that leave off the final H
Oof, that's way too many! Hopefully, people will use the wikipedia spelling. :D
DebbieC 13:32 · 2023-12-12T21:02:16.387Z
FYI the various spellings of the Jewish festival of Chanukah/Hanukkah/Hanukkah/etc. are all phonetic renderings of the one correct spelling, which is in Hebrew using Hebrew letters. So you’re all right!
Very illuminating! I don't know why Bird Lives assumes I won't make any puns, perhaps he lives in Dreidel of what he is going to Gelt. I guess he can count (or recite) his blessings. Oh, and Jay, we call them paczki and we have them at Easter.
