Heading there now!... (the park, not Chicago)
    • Gutman 2s · 2022-07-02T20:57:10.807Z
Great clues. I laughed at 5 down (among others)

I don't know what it says about me that I looked at that just now and had a good chuckle. To quote my mom, "At least you think you're entertaining."

Great puzzle, Mikey. Perfect for this weekend. Have a safe and happy 4th!

          You as well, thanks!

Well, I think I've heard this song a few times on the radio but I never heard the lyrics and goggling and getting the result I really thought I had never heard of it.
But hitting play I guess I have actually heard of it. But I only remember the first few lines and the only words I remember is "Saturday".
Good puzzle. I like that I could work it out without knowing anything about the song.

Someone else said something similar! I wonder how many other songs over the years I have applied the wrong title to!
            • woozy 28:13 · 2022-07-03T18:02:18.035Z
Is that the wrong title? I wouldn't know. Not my area of expertise. I barely have heard of the song.
              • Mikey G constructor · 2022-07-04T01:51:12.568Z
No, it's definitely "Saturday in the Park" - I think your comment was more about only hearing a word hear and there. Someone else said they weren't sure what the title was, maybe just "Fourth of July" or something of that nature. I'm splitting hairs, but I always thought Tom Petty's classic was "Waiting Is the Hardest Part" until recently, but it's technically just "The Waiting." Live and learn!

Oh ho! Love it! So appropriate. Thanks, Mikey!

From the first album I ever bought. I used my high school graduation money to buy a stereo and some albums. I was a late starter.

That's so epic, though! I don't know if it has the same nostalgic effect, but my first CD was the greatest hits of the Beach Boys, for what it's worth!

I still love that group. We heard them in Milwaukee at the Riverside Theater two years ago. Amazing show!

Ugh, I was 75% done and then it refreshed with an empty grid...hence my 7s solve time. I got the meta all by myself though.

LOL given that I'm a native Chicagoan of a certain age, I am REALLY embarrassed I didn't get this on the first shot (I went with THE STAR SPANGLED BANNER) Fun puzzle and clues as always!

Thanks so much - that's quite kind of you! Their horns were so great, and I'd love to take a deeper dive into some of their stuff.

Not to be confused with Sunday in the Park with George, but that's six words and consequently a whole musical.

Thanks Mikey, enjoyed it! Fun clueing as always… Embarrassed to have had to google for the answer, having been a lifelong Chicago fan, certainly of maybe their first dozen or so albums. Any brass player growing up in the 70s was all over their sound…
