Pun and Games in the NFL

· By Chris Derrick · Published 9 months ago

I enjoy working sports themes and clues and would like to create more sports-centric puzzles. The thematic wordplay is a bit pedestrian, but I found it fun. I really hate 17A
17AMusical syllables[-----]
and 22D
22DOf a pelvic bone[-----]
as answers but I got boxed in by the grid/theme. - CD

Lots of fun - all the theme answers work well, though the GREEN BAY HACKERS is my favorite. I also loved the Dylan clue for FATE
      32D"Simple Twist of ___"[----]
      - that's one of my (many) favorite Dylan tunes, from my favorite Dylan album. Joan Baez does a great cover of it on Diamonds and Rust.

Thank you. Blood on the Tracks is my favorite Dylan album too. Maybe I’ll give a Dylan themed puzzle a try.
