  In 59D, I always thought that KIN was also the plural.

    What would I do without you, Sendhil! My brain knows a thing, but it doesn't always get it right on paper. It was Justin Long!

    And the plural is kin, you are correct. Error on my part. Have changed the clue to "Heavily connects with a character, in anime"

  Really good! Wondering if 59-D has the most accessible clue provided given how of all the creatures, 56-A is probably the least well-known. Luckily, I knew it, so here I am, telling you how much I enjoyed the puzzle!

    Yeah, that one turned out to be a real dud. Honestly I don't love it myself, and the damage is already done. But that's okay! I won't make the mistake of putting KINS in a puzzle again :)

      Was thinking as the day went on that something like 'kiths alternative' (you could probably find a better phrasing than me) might be a more inferable clue for that fill - don't give up on it just yet!
