  1A: [Poorly made thing] is a noun; the answer SH(ODD)Y is an adjective. 4A: I personally don't like name anagrams, but that's literally just me; this is good! 5A: I love the idea of this, but I think the [to] is extraneous. 1D: Beautiful. 2D: Love the cryptic part, but I think something you can actually hand out, like a [test] would've been a better definitional fit for the surface. 3D: I'm not sure brooms are synonymous with RAKES, though combs (as a verb) matches.
