This puzzle has a theme that probably won't make sense if you don't share a specific interest/hobby of mine, but is hopefully solveable even without understanding the theme! If you're curious, I'll leave an explanation in the comments for when you finish! (This is me begging you to still try even if you don't get it I'd love the feedback on my second puzzle!)

This theme is about one of my other big hobbies: climbing! Each of the sets of circled squares are in the shape of the hold that is spelled out by the set (in climbing jargon) and arranged as one might climb up them to the top hold (the pocket). I took a little bit of a liberty with PINCH, where I instead suggested the way you hold it rather than the hold itself, as that's somewhat indistinct. The title of the puzzle refers to how we describe an individual climb in bouldering: a problem. Hope you enjoyed!

I'm excited that I knew the theme! :) Nice puzzle; definitely enjoyed it.
I was inspired to make this puzzle after hearing about someone rock climbing on a crossword blog - I'm glad there are several of us who fit in that venn diagram!

Very cute theme! It didn't actually help me solve the puzzle, but in retrospect, it was nicely done. I feel like the shape of the puzzle felt cliff-like as well.
Thank you! It was actually my aim that the theme be sorta overtop the puzzle solving experience rather than an integral part of it for those who didn't know the jargon, but I'm super glad it's still enjoyable in retrospect!
nice puzzle!! i didn't know that the holds have names... i've only gone bouldering a few times (bummed off my friend's guest pass)... it's so much fun and tiring
