wow, this was so awesome. i wasn't expecting to solve this one given the nature of the clues, but somehow it was just enough to solve! loved figuring out ALTE, TAPIT, and BEEPAT--got stuck in the SE section for a while until everything clicked into place! INTERN was also really funny. this crossword was a 10! out of 10--beautiful work
Loved it! One of my favourite puzzles this year, hands down :)

This was wonderful -- very innovative.

There's a lot of clever stuff here, but 1D was really quite good. I ended up using a clue and a good thing too, the corner where I thought the error was, was actually correct. The chaos had really gotten to me at that point; really didn't know what way was up :P
Predator in the ocean (You need new glasses, that's not an H)
10A
Red-haired mermaid (They're spelled differently you doofus!)
12A
"It is", in past tense (A word in the answer dupes a word in the clue)
13A
Water (Yes these two words form a real phrase but that doesn't make this a valid clue)
14A
Noble (An adjective describing the answer does not constitute a valid clue!)
15A
Quiet as a whisper (This makes no sense, you used ChatGPT to write this clue didn't you?)
16A
Kilogram sounds (Did you read "pound" and think you could replace it with whatever measurement you wanted?)
17A
This crossword is a 10 ___ of 10! (10 factorial? yeah i agree)
18A
Impossible to set on fire (NOT WHAT THAT MEANS!!)
23A
The earth's ___ is 2024 years (this is so blatantly wrong that i don't know where to begin)
24A
Star Trek princess (Wrong franchise!)
25A
"Don't care" (You need to make this phrase describe, say, "feeling" to make this work)
28A
Black, brown, or polar (This clue is missing a subject)
29A
Chocolate (Er, not quite the same thing)
30A
MIC (this clue literally makes no sense wait did you somehow switch up the clue and the answer??? HOW did you POSSIBLY screw up this badly????)
31A
Flies (Sure but should be more specific or descriptive)
32A
Keyboard key (Sure, but you should probably narrow it down a bit more)
33A
Packs a punch (You need an "It" at the front)
34A
Falter endlessly (At least put a question mark if you're going to do this kind of word manipulation!)
Down
1D
One who works in the internet (Yeah you definitely have no idea what this is but you accidentally wrote a clue that kinda works if you add a question mark)
2D
Branch cut? (But the answer is an action...)
3D
Like multilingual people (First of all the answer is a plural noun not an adjective. Worse, this clue just doesn't work, not all multilingual people do this work)
4D
Agree (You forgot the s...)
5D
Household appliance, but with an extra U (No it's actually spelled correctly as-is)
6D
Fortune teller (ok this is like the only clue that works but i don't think it works for the reason you think it does)
7D
Greedy one, perhaps (Answer-clue mismatch, this works if you delete a word)
8D
Opposite of buy (No it's not!)
9D
Mountain that is known for providing medical care (You're confusing two different things!!)
11D
They are Miserables (why am i not surprised that you're completely unaware of the existence of french)
15D
Slang for a close friend (Not how that's spelled!!)
19D
Appalled that gas hat mixed up (This isn't The Guardian! You can't just throw these kind of clues in an American-style grid)
20D
Gentle touch of one's hand on a honey-making insect (I HIGHLY doubt that this was how you were supposed to parse this answer...)
21D
What a liaison does (You can't have the answer in the clue, even in a different form...)
22D
It's flat (Where did you go to school???)
25D
Room cooler (Needs to be plural and you probably should have a shortening indicator)
26D
Disappear (This is an onomatopoeia, not a verb)
27D
Superfood that sounds like "uhh kay" (That's not how you pronounce that...)
30D
It was created for airport security (You may want an acronym indicator, but more egregiously, this clue dupes the answer to 12A...)
