    Explanation: an albatross being a score of three under par, one had to find some "PARS" in the grid (hidden in 11A and 28A), move down THREE rows and select the THREE letters directly beneath said "PARS". These combine to form the answer, SPIETH.

        great puzzle! my earliest memory of golf was trying mini-golf for the very first time as a little kid... i had to gently putt the ball over a small bridge but i whacked the ball really hard and it fell into the water... i cried since i thought i lost the ball and couldn't play anymore not knowing i could just get a replacement ball ๐Ÿ˜‚
