Fun one! The Marx bros clues were tricky for me but it was fun reading up about them after I finished 😊

Oh this was a clever one!

The title saved me. I'd gotten "Harpo", :"a past", and "oases", was thinking "hora" (oops), and just couldn't figure anything else out. I left it and when I I saw the title and then "Harpo" - and it clicked: not Karl. The rest took just a few seconds. Fun!

Yeah, to be fair, “hora” is the more common spelling but you gotta do what you gotta do! Thanks for the feedback. :)

That was fun! I of course had Karl stuck in my mind, too. I got OASES and PREOP and I was thinking what HARPO might have to do with Karl...then someone turned the light on. 💡

That’s exactly how solving a crossword should happen! I’m considering this one to be a rousing success. 😁

Great 5X5 fun! I should have gotten the Queen references sooner. It just wasn't clicking until I found Harpo and APast.

The Queen references are actually Marx Bros. references. Those albums are names after movies they made.

Of course. I remember that. Okay, then that was a great theme!
