Constructor's Note
If anyone's interested, I'm about to head home from a 3-week trip through the South Pacific, beginning in Tahiti and ending in Melbourne (hi, Kieran!), which I've been writing about on my travel blog, PuffinlessTravel.com. There are lots of photos from Tahiti, Bora Bora, Rarotonga, American Samoa, Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu (pre-earthquake, barely), Brisbane, and Melbourne. If you like it, please follow the blog. Thanks!

Another awesome puzzle, thank you again. Sadly, just a few minutes ago, there was a 6.1 magnitude aftershock in Vanuatu. It happened at 9:30 AM, Central Standard Time, Dec. 21st.

Thanks for solving, Kent. The Ni-Vanuatu have been through so much - 3 cyclones in the past year, plus the earthquakes. The pier where we docked doesn't exist any more, and the main road from the pier into Port Vila, which my brother and I walked along, is now buried under landslides. The people are resilient, but this is a lot to bounce back from.
