I never really got much me-time in Paris, was almost always business; yes, I ought to see it on my own dime sometime

Wonderful puzzle. What sort of "off the beaten path" recommendations would you have for somebody looking to visit for a week?

Depends what you like... Art: check out the Gustave Moreau and Rodin museums; History: Carnavalet; rue des Martyrs and rue Mouffetard are good walking streets; something weird: the catacombs or the Masonic museum; food: it's hard to go wrong anywhere, but the macarons at Pierre Hermé are worth it.
