Interesting puz. Note: This riddle might be better displayed as the "meta prompt" for solvers to view before arriving here. ;)

Thank you, the instructions said to put it as a comment but this is helpful as I’ve not done one like this before! Any guesses on the answer??

I had entered SOS, but I can't guess now because I've already seen the answer. ;) Next time....

Good puzzle, thanks. I don't really understand what metas are, but I liked the clues.

Tricky one. One note - 13D and 14A combine to make IM + MI. I think you were wanting to connect it to the last letter of 12A, E, for MIME- instead of repeating the M that crosses 13D/14A.

I put the block in highlights to signal the anagrams but didn’t explain that, based on clue alone you’re right that’s not intuitive. Good catch!

I tried “CPR” and “mouth-to-mouth” as the meta answer. The anagrams with the uncrossed letters were arbitrary, the uncrossed letters could have been reversed; it’s a lot of potential trial and error.

I’d give you the win! Those permutations I did not consider

Didn't expect the answer to be so literal lol, finally cracked this one!
