  Fun one, thx! Got all except 5A, had to peek there. Can someone explain that one? East not South gives the EAT, I assume, but the GR?

  5A is a bit questionable for sure, I should put a ? in the clue. German is G, King is R because of Rex (I have seen that in a cryptic before), and then for "East not South" we have East without S (South is S), so we are left with eat.

    For what it’s worth, I didn’t have a problem with 5A and have seen King = R plenty before, but can see why some would struggle. I think the ‘is’ threw me off most to be honest.
