Fun puzzle! I wonder how many solvers had no idea what a TONE ARM is? Loved seeing DEACON Jones in there (didn't know about Glenn Frey's son) - you could have added Steely Dan's ___ Blue to the mix ...

Definitely considered Deacon Blues. Used Hey Nineteen in an earlier puzzle with several other “Hey” songs. Used to be in a band that played at least a half dozen Steely Dan tunes. Loved watching people dance in slow motion to Pretzel Logic.

            Good puzzle, some uncommon clues!

Thanks. Seeking fun over time, although some people (you) nail these puzzles so fast, it amazes me.

Nice clues! I saw another commenter wondering how many people know what a tonearm is. I just wanted to say I'm my 30s, and everything I know about tonearms comes from Nicholson Baker's underrated novel The Mezzanine. In fact, it's the only time I've ever seen the word used...until today!

Well… If you know how Medicare works, as do I, then you know about tonearms, cartridges that have to be replaced, and the heartbreak of getting a scratch that makes one revolution of a song repeat over and over and over. Thank you for the compliment, Drew. I’ll check out The Mezzanine.

It's an unusual book, but if you like Steely Dan, there's a decent chance you'll like it.
