I'm using this puzzle to announce that Crosshare now supports blog posts
- and you're reading one! This is something I've had in mind for Crosshare since launching, but it has taken a while to get all of the pieces in place.
When you create a puzzle (either by uploading a .puz file or by constructing one in the Crosshare constructor) you can add your blog text before publishing. You can also edit old puzzles to add blog entries for them. Blog entries use
Markdown for formatting, so you can add links,
emphasis,
spoiler text, etc. Your blog entry will show up in full on the puzzle page, and preview text will be shown on your constructor page.
Lastly, I've added support for cover images for individual puzzles (the pretty photo above is an example). You can add one at the time of puzzle creation or you can use the edit page to add a cover image to one of your existing puzzles.
Lots more to come - if you're looking to start a crossword blog give Crosshare a shot and let me know what is missing!
