    With the cut corners, it's BASH which can mean a party, and a "do" is also another name for a party. At least in Australia, I hope that's true elsewhere.

      Thanks for the reply. I’m in Scotland and my first thought for “do” was also party but the cut corners ‘meta’ escaped me here. Again, great puzzle.
