  If I may quibble: I don’t think I’d hyphenate 1D. “Air ball” is a common enough compound noun, and I wouldn’t expect to see it with the hyphen. Ah! This is topical for men. Last night I was at the Warriors home game, where they faced the Portland Trailblazers. (Oooh look, that’s the other approach to making a new noun.) Anfernee Simons had been sinking 3-pointers all night, but down the stretch he shot one that missed the rim, net, and backboard entirely, and the crowd taunted him with a repeated cry of “Air ball! Air ball! Air ball!”
