          Great puzzle - thanks! One comment; 7D I believe SEABIRD is one word; also, isn't it definition by example? If so it lacks an indicator. No criticism intended; I really enjoyed solving your cryptic.

            You're dead right. I've amended it for letter-count and for 'pelican' being an example of the answer not a definition. I tried to keep the weird-menu-item theme, so I hope it works like that. Cheers!
