Some very intentional grid-filling here in order to put a lot of tuber-references into the clues. This was in (pitiful) homage to the Guardian's mighty Boatman.

    Nice! Can you explain the wordplay part of WEIGHT? I'm not great at cryptics but I like to try to parse them all after revealing

      I was being cruel there. EIGHT, being 2 to the power 3, is the cube of two.
