Here's a momentary diversion to help you fill the time. Nine response in this puzzle are too long for their space in the grid, and must have multiple letters place in one overfilled cell. These cells, as well as three others, have the additional difficulty that the correct entry does not match the letter of the crossing entry, which should be set aside unused. When read clockwise starting in the northwest area of the grid, these unused letters will spell out a certain set of tasks. An additional ten-letter entry which reveals when and why these tasks will occur begins at the circled square and meanders through the grid, ignoring heavy bars as it moves up, down, left, or right but not diagonally. As a hint, the path moves generally toward the location where the ninth unused letter would have been entered. Circling the mismatched cells and shading the cells of the meandering path may be illustrative.
