love FEELS, NERF, and especially the clue for 8A!! not sure why LIT is a pun though, what's the misdirection at first?

My thought there was that "Clipped work by various authors" in a literal sense could refer to cutting articles out of newspapers. I've also never seen "clipped" used to indicate an abbreviation, so I figured a question mark was the cautious way to go. To be honest I'm not entirely sure the clue works. Thanks for solving!

I interpreted "works by various authors" as LITERATURE and the "clipped" form of that (because of the question mark) is LIT, as in CHICK LIT or AP LIT
