              i got every square but the "o" in scrod without autocheck, had just never heard the term before :( very satisfying puzzle though!

                This was the first foray into cryptics! I had to play a NYT beginner puzzle where the clues clearly lay out the wording patterns to understand this one, but afterwards I was able to solve this without any help! Nicely done.
